Also called the “Red Brick Brewery Factory”, it is a structure made of bricks. It was set up by the government in 1904 as “The National Research Institute of Brewing” under the Ministry of Finance to promote brewing technologies. At the time, it was the only national research institute related to brewing and made significant contributions to the modernization and development of sake brewing. Currently, it is designated an important cultural property, with its walls and ceilings fitted with numerous arches that are both practical and aesthetically pleasing.
