Ishikawa Brewery’s history begins in 1863. About 130 years have passed since they relocated to present-day Kumagawa in 1880 and built the sake brewery. Six structures on site are designated tangible cultural properties. A multipurpose kura designated a cultural property houses a museum with exhibits on the history of not only sake brewing, but also beer brewing, which is one of the key characteristics of Ishikawa Brewery.
