What is it
One and Only Stamp
Living Memory
Each Japan Heritage Story reflects the unique culture, traditions, landscapes, and history of its region. The tangible and intangible cultural assets shaping these Stories are invaluable treasures that convey the history and character of each region.To date, 104 stories have been officially recognized as Japan Heritage by Japan's Agency for Cultural Affairs.
Gosyuuin (御周印) is a commemorative stamp that marks your visit — a unique stamp available only at Japan Heritage locations across Japan. Collect them in your Gosyuuin stamp book, and take home a unique keepsake that cannot be purchased in stores, an ink-stamped memory of your journey.
Note:
・Gosyuuin (御周印) is not the same as Goshuin (御朱印), the traditional stamps collected at temples and shrines. Gosyuuin is an original stamp-collecting program created exclusively for Japan Heritage sites.
・ Each certified Japan Heritage site may have multiple locations of the stamp, and its design is the same at those locations.

Get Your Stamp Book
Purchase your Gosyuuin Stamp Book (¥2,000 incl. tax) at participating Japan Heritage Councils and selected locations across Japan. Check the map to find the nearest sales point.
Visit and Collect Stamps
Visit a participating Japan Heritage location and collect its original stamp in your book. A stamping fee of ¥300 applies at each location. Each stamp becomes a memorable keepsake from your journey.

Gosyuuin Stamp Book
御周印帳
A specially designed accordion-fold stamp book for collecting Gosyuuin. The cover features stained-glass-inspired Japanese patterns in two designs: "Fan" (扇) and "Flower" (花) — each available with four different page designs. The pages come pre-printed with the characters "Japan Heritage" (日本遺産) in red, and the Gosyuuin stamp is pressed on top of the characters to complete the design. Each book holds 28 stamps. You will need four stamp books to collect all 104 stamps.
